Building end-to-end teams all over the world for a rapidly expanding data and software pioneer.

The Challenge

Solera’s fast growth had created a business lacking some of the central functions typically found in organisations that have grown organically to the same size.

With a series of new products preparing to launch, it needed to form new teams in new locations such as Zurich and Madrid. Solera also needed the infrastructure to support the process of securing digital talent in the short and long term.

The fundamental challenge was that talent pools had been small despite demand being high. But with Solera’s senior teams under pressure with new products and processes, they had little bandwidth for finding digital talent in these difficult markets.

With the need to scale teams quickly, Solera needed an experienced partner capable of building an integrated strategy to secure a talent pipeline across multiple locations.

The Solution

Our experience in building teams across the globe and our ability to deploy a scalable managed workforce framework was essential in tackling this challenge.

We began by launching Solera’s digital research and development start-up R3Pi in London, which allowed us to showcase the benefits of our unique OneDay™ service. OneDay™ brings carefully screened candidates together for a single selection day. In this case, it relieved the time pressure for Solera’s stakeholders, enabling them to build teams quickly in a focussed and manageable way.

Subsequently, this approach was rolled out across five different countries within the Solera Group. We have been able to shape a unified workforce for Solera whilst driving innovation and agility into the process to build the teams they needed at pace.

The Results

  • We ran 34 OneDay™ sessions for Solera, to hire 1 in 2 candidates presented at each session.
  • In Zurich, Solera’s digital team grew from 0 to 20 people in just 3 months.
  • Senior leadership team built in Solera’s new Madrid HQ.
  • The creation of a leadership framework in Solera’s new headquarters has allowed them to plan their next steps, better equipping them to react to the marketplace of tomorrow.
Consultant, Solera

As an experienced digital professional, I’ve been through many application processes, and have certainly reached a point where the ease and efficiency of the process has a big impact on my willingness to accept a job offer. I have to say that the OneDay™ created a completely new experience, and the impression it gave me of the organisation played a big part in convincing me that Solera was the place I wanted to work. Despite the competing offers I received from other brands, Solera stood out.
